The inspiration behind coffee table Ottobre comes from sculptures in all forms and variations. The idea of possessing material that is both workable and modifiable according to one‘s desire; even allowing the combining of different materials with different visual and physical textures, sounds very appealing. The two materials used for the Ottobre is mirror glass and smoke oak. While the mirror appears as a floating substance, drinking in the environment and reflecting every ray of light the wood is steady and earthbound, immovable and massive. Yin and yang of sorts.
